1796 pattern cavalry troopers sword in its original scabbard. Has a stirrup hilt with an unusual side lug for sword knot. Original wooden grip which is heavily worn. It has a curved, broad, single edged blade which is engraved with a B on the back strap and an inspectors mark to blade. Scabbard is in sound condition with two hanging rings but is slightly dented at the end. There is a dark patina overall with rust staining to blade.

Approximately 99cm overall and blade 82cm.
