1796 pattern Cavalry Officers sword in it's original steel scabbard. Has a cast stirrup hilt with a ribbed, silver wire bound leather covered wooden grip. There is a broad, curved, single edged blade which is marked Osborn. Some Silver wire is missing from the grip. The stirrup guard has an old patched repair (see photo). There are some dents and creases to scabbard and polished blade has some light rust staining. There is general wear overall.

Approximately 97cm overall and blade 83cm.
