Vintage Draughtsman's Instrument Set, Drawing
This is a vintage draughtsman's instrument set. An English, brass drawing or navigation tool compendium by Henry Hughes & Son, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940.
Pleasingly presented instrument set
Displays a desirable aged patina
Brass instruments in good order
Velvet lined tray hosts a set of seven instruments
Lifts out to reveal a parallel drafting rule
Engraved with the H. Hughes & Son Ltd maker's mark
Compass bears the serial number 13256 and the Pheon 'broad arrow'
Mahogany carry case shows good colour to the wax polish finish
Finished with an unmarked nameplate to lid
Dressed with distinctive inset shield lock escutcheon — key absent
