A great set of vintage Avery platform scales which are coin operated using a 1p piece. This set would have been a common site at most pharmaceutical/chemists shops up and down the country and they are in excellent condition from the 1970's with it's space age look and lime green and white enamel finish. The scales are fully functioning once a 1p piece has been pushed in the slot at the top. The scales can weigh up to 20 stone and show the weight in pounds and stones. No metric kilograms on this set. The accuracy is not what you would expect from modern day electronic scales but it is not too bad. The coin collector tin at the back has it's original key lock with key.
