Vintage 16" Chiltern Ting-a-Ling Teddy Bear
This lovely vintage teddy bear has no maker's marks or labels but we believe him to be a Chiltern Ting-a-Ling bear. He has mohair fur, fabric pads, glass eyes, black claw stitching and a black-stitched nose and mouth. He is hard stuffed with a bell inside his chest. He has a white ribbon around his chest that we do not believe to be original. We believe him to date from the 1950s.
Condition: Overall in good condition, with some playwear consistent with age. He is overall a little dusty and faded. His mohair fur is thinning with some balding patches. He shows some signs of restoration and repair - his feet pads and foot claw stitching looks to have been replaced, and his back seam shows signs of re-stitching. The card inside one of his foot pads is creased / broken. There is an area of staining (possible glue staining) beneath one arm.
