US Civil War cavalry sword in scabbard. Marked as made by "Ames MFc Co, Chicopee, Mass". Also marked "US J.C.W 1865".

Has a triple bar brass hilt with ribbed leather grip (no grip wire). Single edged curved blade with general wear and pitting over all (worn).

Approximately 109cm overall and blade length 88.5cm.
