Trench Art WW2 Ladies Cigarette Case Trench Art
Trench art cigarette case art deco original world war 2 sweetheart designed alloy aluminium cigarette case, which is probably made from alloy retrieved from a shot down aircraft the case is hand made to a high quality and was probably brought back or sent, by a serviceman. The case has a beautifully etched/cut out large sailing/pirate ship on the front and a vase of flowers on the reverse, the inside is also decorated and engraved with a large flower, and a love heart picture frame. I personally havent seen a ladies version of one of these trench art cases.

The condition is excellent for age the quality of the handmade craftmans ship is extremely good the case opens and closes with a strong snap the case is still highly usable as a cigarette case. It may possibly have been made in a German or Italian prisoner of war camp for British prisoners of war. Or possibly made in a British army or RAF workshop in the middle eastern desert or Italian campaign of World War Two.

The measurements for the case are approx 8.7cm Long & 8.4cm High.
