Ship's Gun Tampion
Brass ,mahogany and lead gun tampion .Brass front plate depicting a crowned Griffon rampant is screwed to a solid piece of turned mahogany which is weighted on the back end with sheet lead held on with copper nails, marked Port 26.Difficult to pin down to a specific ship ,possibly HMS Swiftsure .It is pre standardisation of tampions 1919 and maybe much earlier. A second tampion listed earlier also available.
