Prussian Model 1889 Infantry Sword


A Prussian model 1889 infantry sword complete with steel scabbard that could have been used in WW1.
Brass semi basket pierced hilt with cast detailed Prussian eagle. Twist wire (all intact) to shark skin slightly canted grip: all in generally good order featuring a brass cipher of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Some movement Hilt to blade.
The 835mm twin fullered blade is in good condition with some mottling and with maker name ‘Weyersberg, Solingen’. Stamped into Ricasso.
Sword overall 990mms.
Steel scabbard with two suspension rings, nicely patinated.
A nice looking example in overall good condition given age and likely use.
