New Hall The Boy & Butterfly Tea Bowl & Saucer
Very nice late 18th century tea bowl and saucer by New Hall in "the boy and butterfly" pattern, number 421, c.1795. The bowl has a decorator's mark. Reference New Hall & Its Imitators by Holgate, plate 101.
The tea bowl measures 5cm (2") high and 8.5cm (3 3/8") wide. The saucer measures 14cm (5 1/2") wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high. Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Very light surface wear there is a small firing fault to the blue robe on the saucer. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
