Large Minton Celeste Bleu Bowl J.E. Dean Signed
Fabulous large Minton porcelain bowl with a stunning celeste bleu ground to the lower half and an exquisitely painted running band around the top of sailing boats and associated seascape and skies. Artist signed by James Edwin Dean. Gilded band with jewelled gilding on top separates the sections and further beaded gilded swags and drops run around the blue. Gilded foot rim and rim finish this fine piece. Puce mark to base for c.1915.
It measures 4 7/8" high and 9 3/4" wide. Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal surface wear bar a tiny flake to the gilding on the foot. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
