A finely modelled Minton porcelain figure of a young girl as Summer, holding a sheaf of wheat under her arm and stood beside a tall basket, likely for matches with the texture of the basket used as a striker, but it could have equally been used to decorate tables with flowers. The figure and base are white glazed with the basket a striking bubblegum pink, matching band around the base and a sweet little purse she has slung across her body on a strap. Unmarked, c.1870.

It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") high and 10.7cm (4 1/4") wide by 7cm (2 3/4") deep.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. There is a small firing fault under her left arm. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
