French 1877 Gras bayonet in it's original steel scabbard. The hilt and scabbard have matching makers number. The hilt is made of brass, walnut and steel and has a locking catch to attach to a rifle. Single edged, tapering blade with foundry makers proof marks. Engraved along the spine with the town of manufacture and the date 1877. In good condition overall with some age wear.

Approximately 66cm overall and blade 52.5cm.
