Very pretty mid-19th century French mother of pearl coin purse compact with a pretty silver (unmarked) pierced and engraved decorative plaque with mother of pearl oval ring held in the design and incorporating a small framed cartouche in the centre. A push button opens the purse that concertinas out with a blue silk lining with 3 open compartments, and a further closed section with a metal mount and locking pin. This mount is marked Brevete SGDG which is the French patent mark. The little silver cartouche is blank.

It measures 3" by 2" (7.5cm x 5cm). Condition is very good externally no marks or damage although the metal was originally silver plated. Inside the silk has a few small marks but all intact, no tears, etc. the little lock works and the case closely crisply. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
