A stylish 1950s Stratton Initial Compact in very good condition!

What ever your initial is, just insert the key which will turn a disc to display the initial of your choice. The only initials the dial does not have are Q and Z.

The original turning key to change the initials, black felt lined pouch, puff and sifter are present.

The history of this lovely compact, including a copy of the 1959 catalogue page which features this model is included with this order.

The lid has particularly beautiful guilloche engraving. All clasps, hinges and the dial mechanism work perfectly. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The mirror bezel is signed Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND. The base is decorated with the fine spiral.

Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 108 grams.

This compact is suitable for modern loose face powders, as a handbag mirror or cherished collectible.
