A magnificent large green and gold unused Stratton powder compact. This model is known as the Muffin. Designed for loose foundation and a scarce find, we are delighted to have this vanity in our collection. This compact model (with different lid adornments) has only three known years of availability - 1948, 1952 and 1953.

This compact is in super condition. The adorable little booklet giving details about the Old China range is accompanied by the original pristine sifter, puff, guarantee rosette, navy blue felt lined pouch.

The compact lid is adorned with beautiful vibrant enamel. The base is also enamelled - a lovely white coat with a border of lacquered brass. The compact was lacquered during the manufacturing process and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. The interior case contains an excellent clear mirror framed by a bezel signed STRATTON. The inner lid is also signed Stratton. All the hinges and catches work perfectly. Measures 3 1/2 inches diameter and weighs 132.8 grams.
