A divine 1955 Turner & Simpson solid silver powder compact. This compact mirror is ideal for use with loose face powder or as a beautiful purse mirror. The whole piece is clean and in excellent condition. The lid is adorned with guilloche enamel - beautiful crimson roses and dark green foliage. There isn't any loss of enamel / design or fading. An elegant high quality solid silver handbag mirror which would make an ideal silver wedding gift. Ideal for that special occasion. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The inner lid, mirror bezel and case are hallmarked. The powder well bears a full set of hallmarks. The original sifter is present. It is free of any powder residue. The inner lid is decorated with a stylish anchor motif and held in place by an ornate sliding catch. Engine turned designs ensures that the base does not show any fingerprints. The catches and hinges work perfectly well. No dings or damage. Measures 3 inches diameter and weighs 118.7 grams. An immaculate black pouch is included.
