19th Century Japanese Wakizashi sword in it's original black lacquer and brass reinforced scabbard. Brass Tsuba of stylized waves and a cord bound grip over a shagreen hilt. Has two gilt menuki mounts to each side. Grip also has a copper mount with a broom and gilt rat decoration. Has a short curved blade. Also has a Kozuba knife which has a copper handle with broom decoration. In clean condition with some old cracking to scabbard. This sword is unsigned.

Approximately 55cm overall and blade 38cm.
