Brass hilted 1822 pattern infantry officers sword with a brass half basket hilt incorporating a William IV cypher shagrin grip with a slightly curved pipe back blade with a false edge on the lower part the blade marked with a crown over 1 below the hilt unrestored just as it came to us the hilt with great age patina and a very clean straight blade overall a very nice sword
