A Beautiful Example Of Late 1800's Technology Is Displayed In This Incredible Original Condition DeRossi Ventilator. The Heavy Cast Iron Base Was No Doubt An Inspiration For Marelli Electric Fan Of The Early 1900's. The Original Finish, Pinstripes, And Lettering Is Incredible. Brass Blades Have A Wonderfully Unique Patina. The Wings Of The Blades Are Attached To The Hub Using Brass Slotted Screws, A Very Unique Design Construction Detail. The Original Crank Twists Onto The Windup Shaft. There Is A Manually Operated Brake On The Back Of The Clockwork Mechanism. The Mechanism Was Recently Serviced By An Expert Clock Doctor. A True Work Of Art That Complements Any Decor.
