1796 pattern Infantry Officers sword. Note there is no scabbard. Has a bronze hilt with folding butterfly guard with locking strap and a wooden grip. Note the quillion is missing. Has a single edged engraved blade with GR, Crown, Trophies' of arms and Royal Crest. Blade is marked as Solingen made and has been reduced in length. In generally used condition.

Approximately 83cm overall and blade 67.5cm.
