WW1 German Cavalry sword with engraved blade. Has a pierced steel guard with black silver wire bound composition grip. Curved, single fullered blade etched with a battalion name, cavalry officer on horse and trophies of arms. On the reverse side etched with a troop of cavalry men, a horse's head and foliage. This sword has heavy wear overall an old chip to the grip, and edge nicks to blade but the sword is in sound condition. Note there is no scabbard with this item.

Approximately 95cm overall and blade length 82cm.
