An early 19th century longcase clock by John Davis of Wolverhampton. The case is made predominantly of oak with mahogany veneer insets. To the side of the central door are a pair of fluted columns finished off with brass adornments. The hood of the case is nicely shaped with its arched top and a pair of mahogany columns. The dial features a single woman seated against a backdrop of trees and shrubs, the corners of the main dial have floral paintings. The dial also features an inset date wheel and a sub-seconds dial all with gilt hands. This antique clock has been fully serviced and is in full working order. NB the case has had a few repairs in its time however it is nice and solid and a great looking antique clock. circa 1835
