Wilkinson Royal Engineers officers sword stunning
Just in and probably the nicest I have owned , First pattern Royal Engineers sword , Wilkinson 8138
Charles Crawford was made Lieutenant on 1st October 1857 in 1866 he was attached to the 8th company the Royal Engineers at Woolwich and involved in a most unsavoury affair .
The sword is in lovely condition with a clearly etched blade the scabbard does have a few dentitions ,
I have the research from Wilkinson but it’s a sword worthy of further research I also have a copy taken off line of Major Crawford as well , very difficult to upgrade on such a wonderful sword
