Circa 1910. A neat sized freestanding open sided Canterbury whatnot by’ Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh’ with many’ Sir Robert Lorimer’ features. The dished tops in fine oak with striking medullary rays, the sides two pierced lifting handles, the inside polished with two adjustable oak shelves, the base with a shaped frieze on all sides, resting on four classic stylish’ Lorimeresque’ feet with carving on the knees and finishing on a simple pad.
