Circa 1910, exhibition quality Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh low mahogany bookcase, with a half veneered flame mahogany top and very stylish carved frieze in the Lorimer style with a bird head. The top has a curved gallery and has a small pull out slide, above 4 adjustable shelves, standing on 4 carved cabriole legs. This piece shows many characteristics of a Lorimer piece of antique furniture.
