Excellent oak case of particularly good colour and finish. With turned columns, brass mounts and distinctive ogee molding and a ‘slap on’ panel to the base both vernacular details typical of Conwy valley cabinet making.
Inside the door carries a signed, dated and numbered label from the survey of Llanrwst antique clocks carried out by Colin Brown in collaboration with the Welsh Folk Museum at St Fagans in preparation for his superb book The Clockmakers of Llanrwst.
