Walnut commode stool by LAMB of Manchester stool LAMB of Manchester black walnut %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Super quality and good useful size walnut commode stool with an upholstered cushion seat, by LAMB of MANCHESTER, circa 1860 and in lovely condition.
This is a great size stool for using as a dressing table stool, but also being so decorative with this fabulous black walnut grain, it would sit well in a living room as additional seating.
The LAMB brand were a highly regarded cabinet maker and I have dated this to mid c19th.
The name is stamped into the original brass hinge.
The original ceramic pot inside is also in good original condition.
Although the upholstered cushion seat top is not newly done, it is in good condition and doesn't need to be replaced, unless you would rather change for something of your own choice. I can have a new fabric fitted for you for £80 and with fabric supplied by you.
Measuring:
18’’ or 46cm high
17’’ or 43cm diameter

15 1/2’’ or 39.5cm high to the internal commode seat itself
