Quality late 19th.c. walnut marble top buffet sideboard or dumb waiter by the acclaimed cabinet makers Schmit of Paris c.1890. Beautifully figured marble top set within a thumb moulded edge. Over two oak lined drawers and two open shelves. Crisply carved detail to the drawer fronts with the original gilded escutcheons. Shaped aprons below the drawers and middle shelf, continued on the sides, each with carved scallop detail at the centre. Reeded supports leading into cabriole legs below the middle shelf with carved acanthus leaf detail and scrolling feet. Note the shaped edge to the front of the lower shelf. Oak drawer linings and original maker’s label. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
