Vintage Powder Compacts Stratton Compacts
A beautiful vintage Stratton 'Queen Convertible' powder compact with a diamond cut design on the lid and a central cartouche. The whole compact is in very good condition - all gilt and lacquered at the point of manufacture so that it has the most glorious sheen. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The compact is gleaming clean. The mirror has a frosted glass border & it gives a very good reflection. The powder well wall is inscribed 'PAT 764125'. The base is decorated with vertical lines & tiny chevrons & signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. This vintage powder compact is suitable for use with modern pressed / solid face powders or as a handbag mirror. It measures 3 1/4" & weighs 99.6 grams.
