This compact is suitable for use with both loose & solid / pressed face powder. A vintage compact c. 1950 showing Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, The Houses of Parliament & Piccadilly on a background of red enamel. The compact is in good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good reflection - one small subtle age spot. The powder well is lined a cream coloured plastic liner to protect the brass. It contains the original fabric puff & sifter. The base is decorated with an engine turned design of a fine spiral. Measures 3" & weighs 66.2 grams.
