A fine example of quality Victorian antique furniture. This elegantly presented burr walnut Victorian work table features a quarter cut burr walnut veneer to top which is cross banded with olivewood and satinwood. It has a single drawer to centre which has been sectioned presumably for sewing or embroidery materials. It still retains its original key, and stands upon elegantly turned and reeded legs with cross stretchers for added strength. This piece still retains all of its original brass and white porcelain castors. A cross stretcher at the base has been repaired at some stage during its lifetime, but small repairs to a piece of antique furniture of this age is to be expected, and clearly visible in the photographs provided. This Victorian work table is in excellent condition for its age a beautiful addition for any period property or family home.
