Victorian Prussian cavalry troopers sword in its original scabbard. Guard and Scabbard are both stamped '8 D 5 31'. Has a Bakelite ribbed grip (cracked). Piped back blade marked as by 'F.A.Hermes, Solingen'. The scabbard has one hanging ring and there are numerous dents to scabbard. In sound but generally worn condition.

Approximately 97.5cm overall and blade length 81.5cm.
