Victorian Pine Painted Haberdashers Shop Cabinet

This is a Large Chest of Drawers, it has an unusual combination of 8 drawers, of varying sizes , the drawers have original brass swan neck handles and the fronts have various words indicating the work carried out and the commodities available
The Chest is made in solid pitch pine it is a very heavy piece, this is a 19th Century piece, it was not painted at the time of its manufacture, but at a later time for shop display

The chest is in reasonable condition with a some age related wear, most of the writing is still clear, it is a super looking piece and offers a great amount of storage inside
The Chest stands 36” high at the back, it is 49” wide and 21” deep
