Circa 1870, very stylish glazed pine four door bookcase. The very stylish elaborately carved cornice over a large apron with carved flower heads across the front. Below this are four glazed arched doors, with carved open sections on the top. Inside each section are several adjustable shelves giving an extraordinary storage capacity. At each end of the bookcase is a fielded panel in the form of a recessed pilaster. Beneath the doors are multiple ogee mouldings and the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. The bookcase breaks down into several pieces for ease of movement.

Size 204cm high x 268cm wide x 34cm deep.
