These are such a pretty and unusual pair of small bookcases. The bookcases date to around 1870 or so and are made in solid oak. Each bookcase has had a replacement back.

It is very unusual to see bookcases like these still in a pair. The bookcases are small with shaped uprights and stand on a plinth base. The oak is well polished.

A small pair of bookcases like these are elegant enough to be used as bedroom bookcases. The condition is good. No sign of damage or worm.

The bookcases are each 19 inches wide and 33 inches high and 6.75 inches deep. The shelves are 10 inches high and 8 inches and 7.5 inches.
