This stunning Victorian chest of drawers / secretaire is a very unusual piece of antique furniture.

With three drawers below, and a locking two-door cupboard, above.

The doors open to reveal six small drawers within (three on each side) and two useful 'cubby holes' for stationery and letters.

Each surface is exquisitely hand painted with rusty red Chrysanthemum flowers.

To the Victorians, these flowers symbolised 'a proposition or invitation' - which seems very fitting for a piece of antique furniture at which one might write.

Dimensions Height 38" & 29.5" Width 36" Depth 27"

Condition This piece has seen an active life and has been well used (and well loved), so it has some honest signs of wear, commensurate with age.
