A magnificent piece of classic late Victorian antique furniture. This beautiful oak office desk features a cylinder design, and pull out work surface. It also features a multitude of drawers and compartments for paperwork, stationary etc, two pen recesses and slots where the original ink wells would have been, and a tan brown writing surface to centre. The surface slides backwards and forwards, giving ample room for laptop, paperwork etc. This all stands upon two solid oak pedestals featuring three graduated drawers to each side. This desk is in lovely condition for its age, and all mechanisms run smoothly. Unfortunately, there are some slight marks to the polish work as clearly shown in the photographs. There is also a small piece of wood missing from the corner on the back of the desk (as illustrated). If this desk was placed against a wall, it would not be noticeable.
