This Victorian Rich Mahogany Wellington Chest was made circa 1870.
It has seven graduating drawers all with their original turned knob handles. The locking hinged bar opens on its hinges which allow easy access to all the drawers, hence only requiring one key to safely lock all the drawers in one go. Wellington Chest get their name from the Duke of Wellington and are popular as they are useful for many rooms and usage. Nicely carved pilasters decorate the front. A wonderful item that would look good in any setting.
