Tall, elegant and very solid/stable Victorian Mahogany standard lamp. This style is often referred to as a 'bed post' standard lamp as the column was originally, part of a very large Georgian 4 poster bed. The column is in superb condition, beautifully turned and carved with an all round even colour and patina. The type and style of the base indicates it was converted in the 19th century. It has been rewired and has a switched lamp holder to the top, with the cable running through the centre of the column. In full working order., with approx 2.5m of cable from the base.

No damage, old repairs and or worm. Presented cleaned, lightly re-polished and in excellent condition all round. Various styles/colours of Victorian shades are available on the internet at reasonable cost.
