An attractive, circa 1880, Victorian mahogany library bookcase. This elegant piece of Victorian antique furniture features a large out swept cornice, glazed arched doors which open up to reveal three fully adjustable internal shelves. This section sits upon a cupboard base with single drawer with matching arched doors. This is an entirely original bookcase, with the top matching the bottom section many of these items have been married up with alternative pieces during their lifetime. This item is in reasonable condition for its age, but you must appreciate that over a period of time it will have experienced some wear and tear. Sadly, the key from the bottom door is missing, and there has been a small amount of damage to the cornice as photographed. This is still an extremely useful and attractive piece of Victorian furniture ideal for any period interior.
