Victorian Mahogany Armchair For Reupholstery
An attractive antique armchair for reupholstery. We date this chair to the late 19th century.
The chair sits on two sturdy turned legs at the front and two oblong section legs at the rear.
The armrests continue up from the base and have been overstuffed to form the classic scroll arm shape.
The seat base has been sprung.
The chair has been stripped back as can be seen in the pictures.
The chair has an overall height of 37" (94cm), an overall width of 30" (76cm), an overall depth of 34" (86cm), a backrest height of 23" (59cm), a seat height of 15" (38cm), a seat width of 17" (44cm) and a seat depth of 22" (56cm).
The chair remains in a good usable condition with age and usage including some minor wear to the legs. The rear castors have been changed at some point in the past and there are a few old worm holes to the chair.
This remains a very stylish and elegant armchair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
