We love chairs, big or small it does not matter. This exquisitely made set of wooden miniature chairs are too little to sit on, but aren't they amazing? It is certain that they were built by an extremely accomplished furniture maker. Lovely shaped seats and the turned legs are just a few highlights. All five chairs sit dead straight on their four legs, the movement of the rocking chair is simple perfect.
One possibility is that the set was used to show potential buyers the various chair designs that could be produced by a furniture factory or workshop.
The set of five scale model chairs comprises of four different designs. All are made in the Windsor style of the late 1800's. One of the armchairs, the rocking chair and the two kitchen chairs are fitted with a Wagon Wheel back. The fifth Windsor seat is known as a Stick Back chair and is modelled with a crinoline stretcher. All chairs in the set have lovely turned detailing.

Transportation damage caused by our delivery partner must be reported within 48 hours. We will do our utmost to help with an agreeable solution for the encountered issue. Please note that we cannot accept the worn and used condition of our antiques and collectables as a reason for reporting a damaged item.
