Victorian lamp standard, circa 1880. A good & large telescopic standard lamp, which still retains the original cup holder for an oil lamp reservoir, prior to it being converted to electricity. Possibly in the Edwardian period or early 1900’s. Extended the lamp is 199 cms and can be reduced to 140 cms. This is a genuine late Victorian lamp standard, made in a very heavy guage, with a cast iron loaded base and not to be confused with later reproductions. Having recently been rebuffed and polished to a high finish it is ready to go into the finest of homes. The lamp has been decommissioned (the old wiring removed). We can arrange to have the lamp rewired for you at a cost, should you so desire. With this in mind, the lamp has been priced accordingly. We can arrange delivery to any destination.
