Victorian Houndskull bascinet helmet. Has a 2 piece beaten and seemed skull. Visor has viewing slots and perforations. It is brass riveted to the helmet which also has a brass plume holder. There is a push button visor stay to keep the visor open. Helmet has a rolled edge finish and perforations for a lining. In generally used condition, no lining and of fairly light weight construction.

Approximately 28cm high, 33cm long and 20cm wide.
