Here is an unusual English Victorian solid pitch pine side table, with small proportions, circa 1840, in good original condition.

Description:
Here is an unusual English Victorian solid pitch pine side table, with small proportions, circa 1840, in good original condition. The table features a primitive thumb moulded single piece pitch pine top (a sign of quality), displaying a lovely colour and patination. Below, there is a single working drawer, which features the original working lever lock (with key) and the original ebonized knobs. The drawer is hand dovetailed with pitch pine drawer linings. The table stands on four straight block legs, which are supported by shaped spandrels (brackets) to the inside of the legs. The table boasts a superb mellow colour and is in good condition overall.
This item features a mellow pitch pine colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the dining room, living room or the hallway. The desk would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So don't miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
Condition Report:
This table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the top, leading edges and inside drawer, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer retains the original working lever lock (with working key) and original ebonized knobs. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
