A fabulous antique Victorian dome top steamer trunk dating from circa 1895. In good original condition with beautiful patina, the trunk has a wooden carcass covered in canvas with wood banding and decorative metal work to the edges and leather carry handles to the sides. One of the catches still works and the central brass catch closes, it also comes with its original key (it works but the catch doesn’t lock as it has moved forwards over the years) The trunk has leather carrying handles and stands on small castors making it easy to manoeuvre, would fit perfectly in to a modern bedroom or living room setting. With some old interesting travel labels to top and inside for Shipley and York.
