A good small sized antique late 17th century carved panelled oak coffer dating from circa 1680. Beautifully carved with good colour and patina, the double panel hinged lid lifts up to reveal plenty of storage space, the front with guilloche carved frieze, the panels with carved lozenges all standing on stile supports.

In original condition with good patina. Plenty of wear and marks commensurate with age. The hinges are later replacements. Old splits to top. Original baseboards. Some old worm to front.
