Victorian 19C mahogany twin pedestal writing desk
Antique Victorian 19C mahogany twin pedestal writing desk or dressing table.
The desk is heavy, solid, has no loose joints and is a fixed one piece item for transport.
All of the mahogany lined drawers slide freely and the desk stands on period ceramic castors.
Nice warm, medium brown colour with a lovely age and patina.
3 later locks have been fitted, but we have no keys and the locks are consequently untested.
A very attractive style and design.

Overall maximum dimensions 121cmW x 54cmD x 73cmH (57cmH x 51cmW knee hole).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Some knobs have been replaced and some have chips missing from their bases. There is some staining to the insides of drawers as is usual and to be expected. There is a piece of wood trim missing from the base plynth on the RHS at the rear, but it is not very noticeable (see photos).
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
