Very large Yemeni jambiya
A large Yemeni jambiya . A rare form of Arab jambiya in the gusbi form from Hadramaut a costal region in the south of Yemen The gusbi is characterised by the sharply upturned curved scabbard . The hilt appears to be dark horn with intricate nail work the scabbard leather covered wood with bass fittings . This is of considerable age with a good age worn patina.
